Overview
This ebook reader app ("the App") is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.
Data Collection
Data Stored on Your Device Only
The App stores the following data locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers:
- Book files you import (EPUB, PDF, CBZ, CBR, CB7, TXT, RTF)
- Reading progress (current page, bookmarks, highlights)
- Reading preferences (font, theme, layout settings)
- Reading statistics (time spent reading, pages read)
- Tags and organisation (shelves, favourites, custom tags)
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, the following data is synced via Apple's iCloud infrastructure:
- Reading preferences
- Book files (if enabled)
This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
WiFi Transfer
The App includes a WiFi Transfer feature that runs a local HTTP server on your device for importing books from other devices on the same network. This server:
- Operates only on your local WiFi network
- Is active only while the transfer screen is open
- Does not transmit any data to external servers
- Does not collect any data from connected devices beyond the files you choose to transfer
No Analytics or Tracking
The App does not:
- Collect analytics or usage statistics
- Use third-party tracking or advertising SDKs
- Send crash reports to external services
- Share any data with third parties
- Require an account or login
No Network Requests
The App does not make any network requests to external servers, except:
- iCloud Sync (optional, via Apple's APIs)
- WebDAV / OPDS connections you configure manually to your own servers
- WiFi Transfer on your local network only
Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple's built-in frameworks:
- StoreKit for In-App Purchases (processed by Apple)
- CloudKit for optional iCloud sync (processed by Apple)
- AVSpeechSynthesizer for text-to-speech (processed on-device)
No third-party SDKs, analytics, or advertising frameworks are included.
Data Retention
All data is stored on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account). Deleting the App removes all locally stored data. iCloud data can be managed through iOS Settings › iCloud.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not require any personal information to function.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
